Dismissal Drama: Deputy Prosecutor Fired Amid Allegations of Misconduct in Hawaii Loa Ridge Murder Case |
Honolulu City Prosecutor Steve Alm has dismissed a deputy prosecutor amid allegations of prosecutorial misconduct in the Hawaii Loa Ridge murder case. |
Despite seemingly noble intentions, the deputy prosecutor allegedly used evidence from ongoing cases in two educational presentations meant to warn and prevent crimes against Hawaii's kupuna. |
Attorney Myles Breiner filed a motion to have the murder case dismissed for prosecutorial misconduct. |
Attorney Megan Kau, who transitioned from being a deputy prosecuting attorney to a defense attorney, highlighted that dismissing the deputy doesn't rectify the issue, since the confidential crime scene photos have already been disclosed to the public during the presentations. |
Stay tuned for more updates as we closely follow the court's decisions regarding the potential dismissal. |
