Acting City Prosecutor Dwight Nadamoto declared his candidacy for City Prosecutor today at Circuit Court around 12:30pm.
In November of 2019, Mr. Nadamoto received a subpoena to testify before the federal grand jury investigating Keith Kaneshiro.
Many people confuse the federal subpoena with a target letter. Mr. Nadamoto has not received a target letter and has not been linked to any of the Kealoha cases.
Mr. Nadamoto joins a field that includes retired judge Steve Alm, former deputy prosecutor RJ Brown, public defender Jacquelyn Esser, former deputy prosecutor Megan Kau and defense attorney Tae Kim.
